Making the move from the suburbs to the city can be daunting, but these empty nesters were ready to embrace this new chapter. After purchasing a home in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay, they wanted to create a sophisticated space that matched the hip and urban feel of its surroundings. With floor-to-ceiling windows framing the main living space, we created a neutral palette that complemented the panoramic city views without competing with them. Several elements incorporated to maximize the footprint and functionality for city living also make a big design impact. A custom sliding screen wall was crafted to conceal the television in the main living space, while a chic built-in bar provides ample wine and glassware storage. Luxe touches such as rich velvets, antique glass, and a hand-crafted metallic grasscloth wall covering come together to feather this elegant, urban nest.
