Announcing the brand NEW Edgartown Inn!

The Edgartown Inn on Martha’s Vineyard gets a modern farmhouse makeover for travelers seeking a unique island retreat. Read on for more details on this year long renovation and our design inspiration. We're excited to share the completed space with you!

While the Vineyard is best known for the rugged coastline and sandy beaches that ring its exterior, a significant part of its heritage lies in the farms and gardens found inland. When we launched a complete redesign of The Edgartown Inn, our goal was to bring an organic spirit to this classic sea captain’s house. Pairing natural materials such as linen, rope, and wood with a complimentary neutral palette, the overall ambiance is now light, airy, and just perfect for the beach!

Our design team at Rachel Reider Interiors chose woven light fixtures in the guest rooms and shared spaces which provide an artisanal feel, while a wall of greenery infuses the hotel’s lounge with a living pop of color. To convey a clear sense of place, imagery and artwork from local Martha’s Vineyard artisans, like Alison Shaw, were woven throughout the boutique hotel. We loved getting to know Alison and local mural artist, M.C., and hope that our paths cross again soon.

This thoroughly transformed farmhouse-inspired retreat adds a wonderful contemporary option to the Vineyard’s hospitality landscape and we hope you feel inspired to visit this summer.
